I attended the Bootcamp during the final preparation of my CCDE practical study.
The Bootcamp helped me prepare for the exam on multiple levels.The first is the mindset of the Designer – How to keep track of and way different requirements against the technical solutions. Here, not only the discussions and experience from Mohamed was shown, but also the other very experienced attendees, it gave the Bootcamp an extra dimension.
On the technical aspects – You read A LOT of books and other texts preparing for the CCDE. All the technologies, best practices and so on. The Bootcamp was a great way for me to identify and focus on what I had missed and needed more knowledge about.
And finally, the flow of the exam and preparations before the day of the exam – This is always good to help lower the stress of taking an exam like this.
I managed to pass the exam on my first attempt! Hard work, a lot of reading and experience collecting requirements is definitely a pre-requisite, but the Bootcamp gave me that last level of understanding and routines needed to pass the exam.
